Integrated Logistics

We are the world’s largest fully integrated, energy maritime logistics services provider, transporting the people, materials and equipment required to develop and maintain vital energy production. We own and operate an extensive fleet of offshore support vessels and jack-up barges, supported from several well-equipped and efficiently managed onshore logistics bases, including our Mussafah facility which is one of the largest integrated logistics bases in the UAE.

In 2023, we launched our pioneering Integrated Logistics Services Platform (ILSP) that we believe it is one of the largest turnkey offshore logistics offerings in the world designed to enable coordinated end-to-end management of energy logistics and maritime operations. ILSP offers;

  • supply chain management, including warehouse management, onshore and offshore material handling and logistics
  • integrated planning, including drilling and production supply planning, and shipping logistics
  • maritime support services, including rig move and marine terminal operations, subsea diving

By managing all logistics requirements through one system, ILSP can deliver significantly reduced project logistics costs with customers being invoiced in a unique, cost-per-ton format instead of a standard asset leasing model.

As the largest shipping and integrated logistics company in the region, with a highly diversified fleet and innovative service offerings, we are well positioned to take advantage of growth opportunities both in the UAE and internationally.

Integrated Logistics Offerings

Offshore logistics is the largest business line in our Integrated Logistics business unit. Our primary focus is keeping ADNOC’s extensive offshore drilling and production activities supported from the construction of offshore islands to supply of essential equipment, materials, and personnel, fundamental to maintaining safe and efficient round-the-clock operations.

Key services provided by the offshore logistics segment include offshore managed hubs, material and equipment handling, facility servicing, mini dive support services, chartering, cargo and supply, personnel transport, safety and intervention services and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) related logistics services.

Central to the delivery of these integrated offshore services is the diverse, modern and sustainable fleet of more than 190 offshore marine vessels that we own and operate. The offshore fleet delivers a wide range of capabilities and includes platform supply vessels, construction support vessels, anchor handling tug supply vessels, high-speed and emergency response craft, utility crew boats, multi-purpose support vessels, as well as three ferries transporting approximately 130,000 passengers to offshore sites per year.

Onshore logistics provides a variety of logistics solutions, including warehousing and material management, packaging and container terminal operations as well as jetty services and operations through five logistics bases and warehouses. These facilities include:

  • Mussafah, one of largest integrated energy logistics bases in the UAE, and RIASH, from which logistics services are provided to more than 70 offshore locations, including nine natural and artificial islands
  • Borouge Container Terminal in Al Ruways Industrial City
  • KEZAD Gateway dedicated to the storage, handling and export of Borouge polymers through Khalifa Port from our owned and operated KEZAD warehouse, one of the largest in the Middle East
  • Fujairah base dedicated to support oil spill response services

Jack-Up Barges

ADNOC L&S owns and operates the world’s largest fleet of self-propelled, self-elevating jack-up barges (JUBs). Following our acquisition of ZMI Holdings, we own 29 JUBs and operate a further ten. This technologically advanced fleet operates in Abu Dhabi, KSA, Qatar and Iraq.

Long-term contracts are in place with a blue-chip customer base consisting primarily of leading National Oil Companies (NOCs), International Oil Companies (IOCs) and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors.

JUBs have a full life of project capability, providing a “one stop shop” for clients covering key services including maintenance, well services, accommodation, subsea and EPC operations from drilling and construction through operations and modification projects as well as decommissioning. They are also playing a vital role in the construction and ongoing operation of offshore renewable energy development.

Through the acquisition of ZMI Holdings, we extended our regional and international footprint, and created new opportunities for expansion with an industry-recognized partner, broadening our integrated services offering to include critical support assets for offshore operations in the energy industry.
